Wrangler Distribution Center Breaks Ground on New Facility Following April 2011 Tornadoes

May 9, 2012 Topics: Media, News

On April 24 in Hackleburg, Alabama groundbreaking ceremonies were held on the site where VF Corporation's plant was destroyed when a tornado ripped through the town on April 27, 2011. The VF Wrangler plant is Hackleburg's largest employer.

As demonstrated by VF's commitment to the future for the people of Hackleburg, Sedlak Management Consultants, Inc. is honored to partner on this rebuild. The estimated building size including warehouse, mezzanine work platforms, and offices is 330,000 square feet.

Chosen as VF's material handling partner, Sedlak is focusing on equipment/building detailed design activities through project management, implementation phase activities, and go-live, which is scheduled for January 2013. Once the new plant is built, additional jobs will be added to Hackleburg's current workforce.

“As Sedlak's president, I am very proud of our steadfast partnership with VF Corporation and, most importantly, in assisting with the rebuild of Hackleburg's economic growth and the spirit of its community,” stated Jeffrey B. Graves.

Wrangler executives say the groundbreaking and rebuilding of the distribution center would not be possible without continued support on the local, state and federal levels.
